Alumni Reception at NJEA Convention in Atlantic CityAll Rider alumni attending the New Jersey Education Association (NJEA) Convention in Atlantic City in November are invited to attend the Alumni Reception at the Sheraton Atlantic City Convention Center Hotel, in Pearl Ballroom 1, on Thursday, November 5, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. The Sheraton is located adjacent to the main entrance of the Atlantic City Convention Center. There is no charge to attend the event. Join Rider’s Office of Alumni Relations for light refreshments, along with fellow alumni, students and faculty. You’ll also have the opportunity to hear from Dr. Sharon J. Sherman, the new Dean of the School of Education, who will provide an overview of the School. Be sure to stop by the University’s booth at the convention for your special alumni gift. Dr. Sherman will also share information about Rider’s various education programs at the Rider booth from 10 a.m. to noon on Thursday and Friday. “This event is an example of an affinity-based reception where we are reaching out to a specific concentration of alumni,” said Natalie Pollard ’93, ’98, director of Alumni Relations. “Since we have a new dean in the School of Education, it made sense for us to provide a venue at NJEA for alumni to hear from Dr. Sherman and to network with fellow teachers.” Alumni are asked to RSVP for the Alumni Reception by Friday, October 30, using the online event registration form located here.
